Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 November 2026

Tabi Phrasebook (tabitranslator.app) is a free travel Japanese phrasebook. This page explains what information is used when you visit it.

No accounts

You don't need to sign up, and we don't ask for your name, email or any other personal details.

What is saved on your device

Your display settings (romaji, kana, English), saved phrases and the last situation you opened are stored only in your own browser (local storage). They never leave your device, and you can remove them by clearing your browser's site data. The app also stores its own files on your device so it works offline.

Translation

When you use "Translate anything", the text you typed is sent to Google Translate, which opens in a new tab or app. Google's privacy policy applies to that. "Show big" stays on your device.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site uses Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google Ad Settings, and learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Fonts and hosting

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and the site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any website, these services receive standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type in order to deliver the page.
